Description
The Qantara Mosque, also known as Al-Madhoun Mosque, is a small mosque located in the Al-Muthna neighborhood and was built about 162 years ago. It was constructed during the Ottoman era, and its design is inspired by Abbasid architecture, giving it an ancient impression. The mosque has preserved its old structure, even from the inside, and features a unique minaret. The round minaret is cylindrical in shape and ends with a spherical top. A spiral staircase leads to the top of the minaret, where a door opens to the mosque's roof. Visitors can climb the minaret and enjoy views of the fields, mountain slopes, and surrounding mountains.
