This ancient trail is known as “Darb Abraha”, and its name goes back to the story of Abraha’s elephant that passed through this place on its way to the Kaaba before the mission of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. It was built by the Yemeni king Asaad Al-Kamil thousands of years ago as part of the trade incense trail, and in the Islamic era it was called “The Upper Yemeni Hajj Trail”. We will visit this trail and enjoy the beauty of its antiquities and learn about the ancient Thamudic writings.
